Hi Everyone,
Before we dive into it – there was a passport ID left at the beach. If you are missing this, please contact us to reclaim your important identification. This is also a good reminder to pack in and pack out – not just garbage but EVERYTHING you come with. That brings us to our newest feature:
NEW! Text @ibc-alerts to 81010 for important IBC alerts and reminders.
As you know, the concrete stairs lead to a steep slope leaving many members unsteady. To ensure safe access to our beautiful beach oasis we need to build a continuation of stairs in the slope.
This is where you come in! We’re looking for some amazing volunteers to help us with this project.
Do you have a knack for construction or a passion for safety?
We need your skills (or willingness to learn!) to:
- Research and design safe and sturdy makeshift stairs
- Create a materials list and budget (to be reimbursed by IBC)
- Coordinate construction efforts with other awesome volunteers
Even if construction isn’t your thing, we can still use your help! We’re also looking for volunteers to research and acquire signage for the entrance to the IBC neighborhood and to beautify the message board at the beach. The IBC Board has been considering a carved text boulder entrance similar to other neighborhoods in the area.
Finally, a quick note about boat storage. The first annual lottery took place in mid-June and we have filled all slots. Boat storage is only for paid IBC renters so please pack in and out any other day-use boards, boats, and floats.
Please let us know if you’re interested in leading the stairs project, helping with beautification signage research, or just lending a hand in general.
